This Introductory Course is designed as a self-awareness therapeutic groupwhere participants can experience it first person the fundamental principles of Gestalt Therapy. It is a experiential process which allows one to approach the Gestalt perspective from experience, group work, and deep contact with oneself.
Throughout the course, which consists of seven sessions, Participants will be able to understand and practice essential elements such as presence, the pay attention to the here and now, the emotional expression, the awareness of personal patterns and the dynamics of contact and withdrawal in relation to others. The group thus becomes a safe environment in which to observe, feel, explore and transform.
If after this experience you wish to continue with comprehensive training in Gestalt Therapy, this course can serve as a solid foundation of understanding and experience. Furthermore, the hours spent in this group will be recognized as group therapy hours by the AETG, valid for obtaining the official title.
